Focusing on the business of social innovation, Volans is part think-tank, part consultancy, part broker and part incubator. We are a for-profit company based in London and Singapore and we work globally with entrepreneurs, businesses, investors and governments to develop and scale innovative solutions to financial, social and environmental challenges.

Volans focuses on three key areas:

1. Talent: Connecting businesses, governments and entrepreneurs to enhance their respective skills.
2. Solutions: Developing tomorrow’s market solutions through advisory services, research and brokering co-ventures.
3. Outreach: Showcasing and disseminating our findings and insight.

Earlier this year, Volans launched the report The Phoenix Economy: 50 Pioneers in the Business of Social Innovation. This report explored the new markets, technologies and business models that are emerging from the ashes of the old economic order.

For the Phoenix Economy to take wing, we need people who have the necessary Talent and organizations with the appetite to find future-friendly Solutions. Volans provides and encourages leadership through our Outreach initiatives.

Our name Volans comes from the flying fish (Pisces Volans).  In Latin, volans means ‘flying’ or ‘flying thing’ – which seems appropriate as we see Volans as a giant leap forward in our field and working lives.  Learn more about us and check out our blog on Volans.com.
